Environmental Policy
Recognizing that efficiencies in production can be achieved with good environmental management, we actively strive for the best accepted environmental performance in our operations. We comply with all applicable laws and act in accordance with relevant internationally accepted principles.
We take a prudent approach in our decision-making processes and integrate environmental principles into our business strategy.
What we will do to achieve our goals:
Meeting relevant national, local laws and requirements of all relevant international conventions and agreements
internationally proclaimed principles, including but not limited to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, and the UNGC CEO Water Mandate and complying with standards and adhering to UNEP's Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production principles
Applying circular economy principles in our own operations by increasing resource efficiency and engaging with stakeholders
To minimize our impact on the environment, from the use of natural resources to the management of our emissions, discharges and wastes, while also considering our indirect impacts such as raw material supply and logistics
What we will do about resource efficiency:
Reducing waste going to landfills and promoting the secondary use of by-products and improving recycling rates
Recognizing that access to fresh water, sanitation and hygiene is recognized as a fundamental human right by the UN and managing our water footprint at all stages of the operation, UN CEO Water To follow mandate principles and set our specific water targets to use water efficiently
Collective focus on common challenges, including focusing more on water-stressed areas within common water issues and educating stakeholders such as suppliers and customers on water issues encourage reaction
What we will do to minimize environmental impacts:
Promoting and investing in innovation and clean technology
Understanding the environmental impact of our operations in terms of wastes generated, air emissions, water discharges and other impacts such as noise and creating plans to minimize these impacts; and setting goals
Replacing hazardous chemicals in processes and products with non-toxic or less toxic process chemicals and raw materials in accordance with BAT (Best Available Techniques) standards
Designing products and manufacturing processes to reduce the quantity and hazardous nature of our emissions, discharges and wastes
Reviewing that Best Available Techniques (BAT) have been applied to all new projects in our paint factory, including waste and wastewater treatment and handling and storage of chemicals make sure it's evaluated
Developing, implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 certified environmental management systems in our Paint and By-products factories
To publicly disclose information about our environmental performance through participation in global sustainability data reporting bodies
